Tips for reading
Jul 10th, 2007 by The Seer
When you are reading, do try to read without wearing your presciption glasses.
Most people will find they can do so at a comfortable distance.
Put the material you are reading far away just so that the letters can be seen clearly.
Gradually, the distance at which you can read will increase. This is the main principle behind the Vision Freedom system.

this is a good tip thx for sharing
my right eye no. is -2.50sph , -1.75cyl, 5 degree axis
left eye no. is no sph number only cyl -2.50 ,175 degree axis
my glasses are for consant use and i was told to where them especially while readind and watching t.v. are you sure your above suggestion of reading without wearing presciption glasses would not worsen the eye-sight.
Hi mary, well i shouldn’t be the one giving you suggestions but…
mary, are u short-sighted or far-sighted? If u are short-sighted, try to read without your glasses, coz those precription glasses are meant for looking at things that are at least 20 feets away. So if u are using them to read a book at 1 feet, it is 20times overpowered and strains the eye.
this actually works, i have made my vision better over the course of a week so that i can read books at 6 inches away from my face where as before i had to have the book 4 inches away from my face
i’m gunna keep trying and doing excercises because i’m sure they are a cure! thanx
Hi Nick,
That’s great, keep up the good work and do let us know of your progress.
I in fact a different problem. I can’t read if it is too close but if i put distance between eyes and letters (too long for comfort), i can read even the finest letters. How to improve please guide
I wonder if this same principle if used with weaker glasses and reading at the farthest distance where you can see sharply while wearing these glasses would work. In theory it should be the same (and more practical to start off with for those with strong prescriptions)
Seer,
I’ve tried your suggestion about viewing the computer screen without glasses and find I can just about read it if I sit about 4 feet away !
I normally wear non prescription +1.5 glasses.
Is it likely that I can correct or at least improve my vision ?
Regards
Deece
Hi,
My son is seven years old. He recently got sight and doctor prescribed as follows.
Right Eye : SPH:1.00 with bar on the no., CYL:0.50 with bar on the no., AXIS:160, VA:6/9bar (no bar for 6).
Left Eye : SPH:-, CYL:2.0 withbar, AXIS 180, and VA:6/9bar(no bar for 6)
What does the above prescription means and can it be cured. Kindly suggest me what to do for him. He is just 7-years old.
Thanks

hi to everyone
this tip is somehow great and really useful for humans but i wonder if it does work for the elderly i also heard that green object help improve eyesight?and 1 more thing does laser therapy help improve the eyesight?
Both of my eyes are above -6.5 including an astigmatism in one eye, and I’m 19. It is very difficult to read without glasses or contacts, being a college student that actually reads everyting she’s supposed to. Also, my active lifestyle makes it hard to function without corrected vision. Is there anything I can do?
